Built by a founder who got tired of waiting for enterprise security to trickle down.

The problem

Small businesses handle just as much sensitive data as enterprises. A two-attorney law firm processes wire transfers, stores Social Security numbers, and exchanges confidential case documents — the same data that Fortune 500 companies spend millions to protect.

But the security tools built for enterprises don't work for small businesses. They're too expensive, too complex, and designed for teams of security engineers who don't exist at a five-person firm.

The result is a gap. The businesses that attackers target most — law firms, accountants, medical practices, real estate brokers — are the ones with the least protection.

The insight

We started by scanning law firm websites across Florida. What we found was alarming: 84% had no properly configured email authentication. Attackers could send emails pretending to be from any attorney at those firms, and the emails would be delivered normally. Multiple firms had database servers directly accessible from the open internet.

These weren't obscure vulnerabilities requiring sophisticated attacks. They were basic security hygiene issues that any automated scanner would find — and that attackers find every day.

The build

Kaspera Shield is one platform that covers everything a small business actually needs: vulnerability scanning, phishing simulation, employee training, breach monitoring, policy management, and compliance reporting. Not six different tools with six different logins and six different invoices. One.

Every feature is designed for people who aren't security professionals. The vulnerability scanner explains findings in plain English. The policy generator creates professional documents in seconds. The phishing simulator uses AI to craft realistic scenarios without requiring a security team to design them.

The mission

Enterprise-grade security should be accessible to every business that can't afford a security team. That's it. That's the whole mission.

Kaspera Shield is built by Jason Zirbel. Before this, he spent years watching small businesses get breached by attacks that would have been stopped by basic security controls — controls that existed but were locked behind enterprise price tags. Kaspera Shield is his answer to that problem.

What we believe

Accessible

Security shouldn't require a $50,000 budget or a dedicated IT team. If you have a domain name, you should be able to protect it.

Honest

We show you real findings from real scans. No inflated threat scores to upsell you. No phantom vulnerabilities to justify a subscription.

Built for the real world

Designed for businesses without security staff, not for CISOs. Every feature works without a security engineering degree.
